I just rehosted them, they are originally done by Andrew Melnychuk. I don’t know about the codecs used – I play them with KMPlayer, it opens them without needing any external codecs installed.
i got the answer after tinkering around for a little bit after i posted.. i used small spheres with a bit of size variation.. i like how it looks in comp.
now to the next part.. i tried 2 figure out how 2 get some lighting from the arcs.. the glows in comp liven up the arcs.. but what abt any surrounding areas and objects? do i have 2 use something in rendering or is there any easy way 2 fake it?
This looks like a great tutorial. However I can’t see the video, what codec are you using to encode these files?
Thanks1

How do u render the particles?
Do u need 2 align them? If u do, how is that done?
I guess you don’t – you use a lot of small cubes or spheres very close to each other.
thanks..that was fast..
