I’ve started a series of videos covering the workflow between Naiad and Max! It’s gonna deal with sending material from Max to Naiad, setting up sims there and sending partcles back to Max, for meshing and shading with Krakatoa, Frost and VRay. Five videos there already, check out and comment!
Again, link to the whole playlist – here.
It’s quite a freestyle thing – I’m also getting into Naiad now, so I’m gonna be making these as I go – will be fun!
In naiad I can not continue simulate animation after reopen my file, for example if I stop simulate in frame 20 then save and close my file, I can not continue simulate from frame 20 after open it.
can you help me? please
thank you
I think you can’t do it straightforward yet. But you can get the last cache frame, and put it in your particle-liquid node to and use it as a startframe, and then change the global start frame to that frame.
Thanks for all the good Naiad stuff you’re sharing
Hi Jay,
If i am not wrong you want to start your simulation from the frame you stop so you can use this command
301 /emp/New_emp_out_splash/splash.#.emp
(frame no. u used last (i.e) 20 / emp output path).
Used this argument in Launch Naiad Restart Emp sequence option
I am sure it will help u.
hi I know this works because i have tried it before but now after a long time i came back to naiad and it just wont restart i keep getting
EmpReader(data\Bhavya) failed: Cannot open file: No such file or directory
or EmpReader(\D:\Stuff\Bhavya) failed: Cannot open file: Invalid argument
