Noticing that there is no such thing out there already, I made a dark UI scheme for Thinking Particles – much easier on the eyes and fits a dark Max theme too.
Looks like this:
To install it, open your
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\<MAX VERSION>\enu\plugcfg\thinking.ini
Backup it first, for example save it as thinking.ini.bak. Then paste the following block in the [SchematicViewColors] section (the first one), overwriting the existing one:
In=177 186 231
Out=105 245 174
BG=34 34 34
Operator=100 80 64
Wire=183 183 183
DynamicSet=43 53 100
Body=198 198 198
Out_Dis=44 118 81
In_High=67 71 93
Generator=100 59 59
Out_High=27 45 36
Invalid=185 187 0
Need=17 17 17
Initiator=100 33 33
Shape=100 89 58
Condition=100 81 15
Group=40 77 100
Helper=57 100 40
In_Dis=72 81 125
Title_Sel=44 44 44
Grid=39 39 39
Text=238 238 238
Frame=100 100 100
Shadow=9 9 9
Draw_Shadow=1
Need_Dis=68 69 21
Debug=43 43 84
Text_Antial=1
Draw_Antial=1
Draw_Bendedwire=1
Dis_Trans=118
Shadow_Trans=78
You can revert to the old colors by restoring from your backup file.
Enjoy!

Hi!
How to change debug window text color ?
Haven’t really tried that one
I can’t see anything on the screen with it dark green color text
it’s to mount main TP window in bottom viewport to make custom layout.But it seems not allowed.
The only way – it’s slightly change window color in max.
Also I find useful to make “Need” color more redder like 190 17 17 to mark for attention.
The last thing for my happiness
Well, some stuff you change, some you don’t
Works anyway
